Bridget Louise Reilly - your paintings make me sick!

psychedelic stripes!  I find Reillys large artwork fascinating but alas can only gaze at it from the side.

The term psychedelic is derived from the Greek words ψυχή (psyche, "soul") and δηλοῦν (deloun, "to manifest"), translating to "soul-manifesting". A psychedelic experience is characterized by the perception of aspects of one's mind previously unknown, or by the creative exuberance of the mind liberated from its ostensibly ordinary fetters. Psychedelic states are an array of experiences elicited by various techniques, including sensory stimulation, sensory deprivation as well as by psychedelic substances. Such experiences include hallucinations, changes of perception, synesthesia, altered states of awareness, mystical states, and occasionally states resembling psychosis.      Psychedelic - Wikipedia

Summer 2011 Garden

the reluctant blogger

Ok now my blog is set up, content to come.

I'm off back to my home town, Dublin for 3 weeks. We are going by car and ferry so there is quite a bit of logistics to organise for the trip.   I am planning to tackle the garden there.  The 'wild flowers' seem to grow like weeds over night, much like jack's beanstalk.  I think the theme could be urban wilderness.  Perhaps I will watch the weeds grow instead.....
